With the recent deterioration of Russian-Georgian relations in social networks and Russian media controlled by the "brothers Armenians", a new "run over" of Georgian wines has begun. As an "alternative" to the so-called "hostile" Georgian wine, the "experts" offered Armenian and Abkhazian wines to the Russians.
The falsification of Georgian wines in the Republic of Armenia and the impudent appropriation of the names of Georgian wines is the subject of a separate study. However, the proposal to the Russians to drink the so-called "Abkhazian wine" is generally nothing more than propaganda of the mass poisoning of gullible citizens. This follows even from materials published on Russian information resources, which means that the quality of these drinks, let me say it, is even worse and they are banal dangerous to the health of consumers.
Here's an example of what the site of Pikabu.ru writes about Abkhazian wine: (pikabu.ru): “The shelves of Russian stores are literally littered with wines of Abkhazia. But where do these bottles of Abkhazian drink come from if there are practically no vineyards in Abkhazia ? We’ll understand this article.
Most of those who do not drink Abkhazian wines know that there are very few vineyards in this republic. Those who drink Abkhazian wines, for sure, do not even guess what kind of wine they actually drink.
Of course, there are still vineyards in Abkhazia. True, their area is so small that grapes harvested in the republic will not be enough for a third of their own consumption.
For example, the vineyard of the republic’s main wine-making enterprise “Wines and Waters of Abkhazia” does not exceed 700 hectares. And this, with the best possible harvest (which is rare), is enough to make 5 million bottles of wine. Then, as soon as Russia supplies Abkhazia with at least 20 million bottles of its wines annually.
Recall that during the active anti-alcohol campaign of Gorbachev in perestroika, the lion's share of vineyards in Abkhazia was cut down!
Grapes grow, and especially of technical varieties, in Abkhazia is very poor. Experts generally note that Abkhazia is not a wine-growing region. The climate does not allow the grapes to accumulate the necessary amount of sugar for wine production.
And in the republic mainly grows "Isabella". The same grape variety, which, for example, in neighboring Georgia (Abkhazia is an integral part of Georgia - website edition) is cut like a weed, and in Europe wine production from this grape variety is generally prohibited.
But I was a little distracted. Where did grapes and wine come from in Abkhazia? In 90% of cases from Moldova. At the same time, not grapes come to Abkhazia, but wine material in tanks. If the most respected wineries in the world go wild to grow their own grapes and make quality wine, then Abkhazia has to buy a ready-made cocktail.
And do not even think that Moldova supplies the republic with the best available wine material. Moldova itself produces wine, and the best grapes are used to make their own products. Abkhazia buys wine material, as a rule, from the owners of private vineyards, who have made a fortune in this business with the Caucasian republic. They don’t think about the quality of wines. They just grow grapes.
Recently, Abkhazia buys wine material from Argentina. True, the proportion of Argentinean raw materials is still small. Yet it is more expensive. Yes, and this does not greatly affect the quality, because the best grapes again go to the production of their own Argentinean wine.
Well, and about domestic wines from Abkhazia. This is the most suspicious product. If wine from Moldavian wine material is bottled at the Abkhazian factory and undergoes at least some quality control, then homemade Abkhazian wine is a lottery.
Firstly, half of the so-called homemade wine is not homemade, because it is made from the same Moldovan wine material. It is generally impossible to make a real semi-sweet wine at home!
Secondly, those who really grow grapes themselves in their conditional garden very often have to add beet sugar to wine, because, as was said, the climate in the republic does not allow grapes to accumulate enough sugar on their own.
And thirdly, most homemade wines are made all from the same Isabella, the taste and quality of which leave much to be desired.
And finally, I want to say that the Moldovan wine material of the Abkhazian spill is highly advertised. In Abkhazia they even make wine called Khvanchkara, which, however, has nothing to do with the famous Georgian wine beloved by Stalin. And the fables that Brezhnev himself drank Abkhazian wines are a hoax.
"Abkhazian wine" is made specifically for gullible Russians and residents of the CIS countries, it is no longer sold anywhere in the world. And the prices for this drink are very high. And instead of supposedly home Abkhazian wine that you are offered on vacation, or a bottle of advertised Moldovan wine material with an Abkhazian label. ”- end of article.
We add that in this article, so as not to disappoint the Russians who have tasted the "Abkhaz wine" again, it is not reported that part of such products is made from low-quality alcohol and powder with dubious dyes and flavors and is simply dangerous to health.
The propagandists of "Abkhazian wine" simply carry out a diversion against the life and health of Russian citizens.
