Our task is to qualitatively strengthen the economic, trade, and transit potential of Georgia, large investments will be made in the development of transport infrastructure, - said the Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, during his speech at the conference of the Georgian Business Association, where the prospects of the country's economy and rapidly growing sectors were discussed.
According to the head of the government, in a few months the government will present a new four-year plan to the public, and this plan will be both ambitious and realistic.
"We need one of the main challenges for business, economy, development of human resources, business should be adequately provided with labor force and for this it is necessary to implement fundamental reforms in the education system, in the field of education. Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of the challenges that we face, but these are the main key issues, you will probably agree. We will need constant cooperation on these and other issues, coordination with business so that the government's decisions on each of these issues are as rational as possible and adjusted to the interests of business and economic progress. We need new ideas from you to further increase the rate of economic development, improve the environment for doing business in Georgia, for investing in Georgia. We need advice on this too, we need coordination with business, business association.
In a few months we will present a new four-year plan to the public. This plan will be both ambitious and realistic. Our task is to qualitatively strengthen the economic, trade and transit potential of Georgia. For this, large investments will be made in the development of the country's road, railway, air, sea transport infrastructure. The state will actively support production development, export growth. Also, the educational system and infrastructure of the country will be fundamentally strengthened. In this regard, very specific plans will be presented from our side.
Reforms and changes will be implemented in many directions, which will directly or indirectly contribute to the development of business in Georgia, and directly or indirectly will have a positive impact on economic progress and business development, economic activity in Georgia", said Irakli Kobakhidze.
