Finance Minister, World Bank Vice President for Europe, Central Asia review cooperation

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Tuesday reviewed ongoing projects and future cooperation during a meeting with Antonella Bassani, the Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank.

 

The Ministry of Finance said Khutsishvili informed Bassani about the current macroeconomic situation in the country, steps taken by the Government and planned reforms for economic growth and fiscal consolidation in 2021-2023.

 

The meeting noted work was underway on the preparation of the updated Country Partnership Framework between Georgia and the World Bank, which would contribute to the further development of the country.


The meeting also involved deputy finance ministers Giorgi Kakauridze, Ekaterine Guntsadze and Mirza Gelashvili, as well as Rolande Pryce, the World Bank Regional Director in the South Caucasus and other representatives from the Bank’s delegation.
