I don't like violence against anyone, either against oppositionists or citizens - I condemn all kinds of attacks, - said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri.
According to him, an investigation into yesterday's attacks was started immediately.
"Yesterday, we immediately started an investigation into all the facts that happened. We will follow the investigation and see what happened, who attacked. I can't say directly what happened. An attack took place, unfortunately, people were injured, an investigation has been started," said Gomelauri.
As the minister noted, he condemns any kind of violence.
"Of course, no one likes violence, I don't like violence against anyone - either against oppositionists, or citizens, which were carried out by the protesters, I don’t like violence against journalists, your colleagues either. I have not seen on you condemning the attack on the POSTV journalist Don't be on one side alone. I condemn all attacks!" Gomelauri said.
In addition, Gomelauri responded to the case of 6 persons arrested on charges of assaulting a policeman and damaging property at the rally of the opponents of the "Transparency of Foreign Influences" law and noted that at this stage, the investigation is ongoing and if other persons are identified, they will also be arrested.
"We are continuing the investigation, we are processing a lot of footage, as well as information. Therefore, if there are still signs of crime, of course, others will be arrested as well," said Gomelauri.
