Minister of Internal Affairs to arrive at parliament within Minister’s Hour format

Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri will arrive at the parliament on Friday to present a report about the governmental program implementation and future plans within the framework of Minister’s Hour format. The Minister will then answer lawmakers’ questions.

 

The ruing team has questions to the Minister about cyber security, family violence and crime statistics.


Chairman of the Law Affairs Committee Anri Okhanashvili expects interesting discussions to take place in the parliament. He said the recent report of the US Department of State evaluated the work of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs as successful with respect to struggle against drugs related crimes.

 

Representatives of the parliamentary opposition Citizens and European Socialists parties claim that they will have acute questions to Gomelauri.
