Investigation launched into 19 criminal cases relating to alleged discrimination on sexual, ethnic and religious grounds

According to the January-March data, investigation was launched into 19 criminal cases relating to alleged discrimination on sexual, ethnic and religious grounds. The relevant public information was requested by InterPressNews from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the information provided by the agency, 13 cases were related to intolerance on the ground of sexual orientation, 5 cases were related to intolerance on religious grounds and 1 ‘ndash; to ethnic grounds. In addition, in one case, investigation was launched in connection with violence on religious, national, ethnic or racial grounds, while 3 cases were related to the violation of equality. In 2 cases, investigation was launched in connection with illegal actions against the fulfilment of religious rites and two cases were related to persecution.
