Cyprus puts Georgia on the list of safe countries

Cyprus has recognized Georgia as a safe country by the decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs, – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports. Cyprus is the 13th country in the EU/Schengen space which has made this decision in relation to Georgia (Georgia has already been put on the list of safe countries by Bulgaria, France, Liechtenstein, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Iceland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Estonia, Denmark and Czech Republic). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision made by Cyprus once again confirms that Georgia is regarded as a country where people are protected from any kind of possible persecution.
