Georgian National Museum and Lithuanian Embassy hold photo exhibition on Vilnius

The National Museum of Georgia and Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania will hold a photo exhibition titled The Scenes of Vilnius ‘ndash; Van Dyke Brown Prints. The photos were taken by 55-year-old Lithuanian painter and sculptor Saulius Paukstys. The artworks will be exhibited at the Tbilisi History Museum starting June 12, 18:00 to June 18. The images combine historical memory and present-day testimony of photography, – the National Museum of Georgia reports. The photos, depicting the architecture of the Lithuanian capital show the buildings from the medieval epoch were printed by a unique Van Dyke technology. The technology includes coating a handmade paper with silver nitrate emulsion and further exposition to ultraviolet light.
