Protests to be held in front of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Parliament today

Demonstrators will express protest in front of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at 14:00 today, while at 19:00, the rally will be resumed in front of the Parliament. The decision was taken at the rally yesterday. Demonstrators demand the resignation of the Minister of Interior Giorgi Gakharia, as well as the conduct of proportional parliamentary elections and release of persons detained on June 20. The protests have been held in front of the Parliament since June 20. The public protests were launched after Russian MP Sergei Gavrilov chaired a session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy in the Parliament of Georgia.
