Labor Party leader decides to join parliamentary work

Georgian Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili decided to become engaged in parliamentary activities.

 

“This was the only correct strategy to struggle against the regime and strengthen this effort with parliamentary tools. Following the failure of the opposition’s joint boycott, the public poll carried out by the party revealed that the society demands Labor Party to be in parliament,” Natelashvili said during the news briefing.

 

Natelashvili further explained that even one person and one vote could be decisive for speeding change of the government, which “destroyed the country.”

 

Labor Party leader plans to attend the plenary sitting on February 15. Meanwhile, the parliamentary Procedural Affairs Committee greenlit termination of MP mandates to several MPs, including Shalva Natelashvili.

Voting on stripping MP mandates to these lawmakers is scheduled for the next week’s plenary sitting.
