In a world full of challenges, where national traditions and sacred human values are in clear danger, our Mother Church raised the sanctity of the Georgian family and its eternal values as a shield, - Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili writes on the social network.

 

According to him, family traditions, respect for inter-generational relationships, hospitality, love for others and loyalty to the motherland are Georgian customs.

 

"Congratulations on the Day of Family Sanctity! In a world full of challenges, where national traditions and sacred human values are in clear danger, our Mother Church has raised the sanctity of the Georgian family and its eternal values as a shield. This is our way of life, handed down to us from our fathers and grandfathers, and we have been carrying it with pride for millennia. This is a Georgian custom, respect for relationships between generations, hospitality, love for others and loyalty to the motherland. The sanctity of the family is the foundation of our state, therefore it is the government's duty to protect it, together with the Church, as a preserver of Georgian identity, spiritual and material culture. I congratulate everyone on this day and wish you peace in our hearts, in our families, in our homeland," the Chairman of the Parliament wrote.
