Nikoloz Samkharadze met with the Vice Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament

Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze and members of the delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee are on an official visit to Malaysia.


Within the framework of the visit, the members of the delegation met with the Vice Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament, Ramli Bin Dato' Mohd Nor, and members of the Friendship Group with European Countries in the Malaysian Parliament.


The main topics of discussion were the development of bilateral relations and cooperation between Georgia and Malaysia in various directions, including opportunities for deepening cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism and education.


The Georgian side informed colleagues about the news related to the "Middle Corridor" project.


The parties reviewed the current security environment in the Black Sea region, the difficult situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and the impact of Russian aggression on the region. The conversation also touched on the security challenges in Southeast Asian countries.


The Georgian side thanked the Malaysian authorities for supporting the territorial integrity of Georgia.


The delegation is headed by Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and the head of the friendship group with the Malaysian Parliament. The delegation includes: Irakli Kadagishvili, Irakli Mezurnishvili, Beka Davituliani and Nodar Turdzeladze.
