Beka Liluashvili: Maybe, behind the message box of reviewing the relationship with our strategic partners, Georgian Dream is actually thinking of terminating the relationship

Maybe, behind the message box of reviewing the relationship with our strategic partners, Georgian Dream is actually thinking of suspending the relationship, terminating it - I am no longer calling on Georgian Dream to take any positive steps, they are in self-destruction mode, let them continue! - MP Beka Liluashvili said while talking to journalists, evaluating the statement of People's Power.

According to him, for the first time since 2014, the European integration process of the state of Georgia is frozen, suspended, "which is a very difficult situation".

"People's Power statements are usually a prelude to political fraud or maliciousness. Maybe, behind the message box of revising relations with our strategic partners, Georgian Dream is actually thinking of suspending, terminating relations and replacing our western partners with the Russian Federation, or any other eastern state. I don't know the dark motive by which the Georgian Dream could damage these relations even more, but in terms of the results, it will be very difficult for our country. For the first time since 2010, the process of the European integration of the Georgian state has been frozen, there has never been such a severe gap between the steps of the Georgian government and the interests and tasks of the Georgian people. They are in a mode to continue like this. Georgian people will bear this for 4 months, and after 4 months, we will remove them from the government together," Liluashvili said.

For information, People's Power calls the statements made by the US Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan, during an interview with InterpressNews "extremely insulting" to the Georgian people and says that the ambassador crossed the red line.

"If until now the new US ambassador more or less had tried to make political maneuvers and did not touch on topics that directly affect sovereignty and independence, this time she crossed this red line," reads the statement.
