23.04.24 14:35

The cooperation between Georgia and the United Nations in a multilateral format was discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and permanent representatives of a number of countries at the body.

The meeting highlighted the importance of the rules-based international order for conflict prevention, peace and security, the Government Administration said.

The officials reviewed the situation in the Russian-occupied territories of Georgia and the policy of their non-recognition, and noted the importance of the UN General Assembly resolution on internally displaced persons from the occupied territories to support the affected population.

Kobakhidze confirmed his Government’s commitment to the policy of peaceful resolution of the conflicts.
