It is inconceivable that Georgia's path to Europe will be hindered by a false narrative and a "fake". It was the same narrative that if they asked us to release Saakashvili, European integration would be hindered. It was the same narrative that we are not fulfilling the 12 recommendations and then it turned out that we were fulfilling them and we got the candidate status, the same narrative is still today. In the background of such disputes and struggles, we have to move on the path of Europe, - the leader of the parliamentary majority, the executive secretary of "Georgian Dream", Mamuka Mdinaradze told journalists about this.
Mdinaradze noted that trade at the expense of conceding the national interests of Georgia cannot be in the real interest of Europe. He also noted that accession negotiations may be delayed, but it will be achieved with dignity.
"If someone wants us to trade some tools on the way to Europe at the expense of giving up the national interests of Georgia, it will not work for anyone, including it cannot be in the real interest of Europe." In the end, did the people believe us last year, did they follow us, did they come out, did they follow the narrative of false NGOs and false parties, and did we get the status of a candidate, this is how we will continue to move. It may be a year late for us to allow some things, but which would you prefer, if we were to receive candidate status together with Ukraine and Moldova and stand on one foot or would you prefer that we received it a year late and we stand proudly and firmly?" Mdinaradze said.
