It would be naive to think that after the failure of the attempt to get a resolution on the "genocide of the Armenians of Artsakh" through the UN Security Council, the Armenian lobby would calm down and accept the integration of the Armenian-populated regions of Karabakh into Azerbaijan. A new wave of "international" PR on the alleged "exceptional suffering" and "threat of genocide" of Karabakh Armenians is underway. At the same time, Armenian nationalists are mobilising the most "heavyweight" politicians among their supporters in the West. Among them is the Mayor of Paris, Mrs Anne Hidalgo.

In the "state hierarchy" of France, the actions of the capital are one of the key figures. The post of mayor of Paris can be used by a politician to take over the number one post in France - that of president. The example of Jacques Chirac shows this. Moreover, according to some analysts, Anne Hidalgo could well be the future successor to Emmanuel Macron (despite the fact that she is not French by birth, but Spanish and that her grandfather was a Spanish communist who fled from Franco).

In Paris, Ann Hidalgo introduces the "advanced practices" of the globalists, such as the "15-minute city". The essence of this project is to create such conditions in the megacity that a person could live, work and enjoy all the benefits within 15 minutes of his or her place of residence. The purpose of such an infrastructural "improvement" of the megapolis is to reduce traffic flows, especially private car traffic, eliminate traffic jams, reduce harmful emissions, etc. And, at the same time, to strengthen the control of the police and the special services over the citizens "restricted in their movements", in which France, it should be remembered, is one of the most "gendarmerie-police" countries.

Why does such a "progressive" mayor of the "advanced capital of Europe" need predominantly rural Karabakh? Have all the problems been solved in Paris? Not at all. It is enough to walk along the streets of Paris and the guests of the French capital will be struck by the dirt and the huge number of homeless people, beggars, bums, etc. In spite of this, Ann Hidalgo is known to be "on her way to the arces". And it is very likely that she will personally arrive at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the beginning of the Lachin road.

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has launched an initiative calling on French regional authorities to organise a so-called "humanitarian convoy" to Karabakh. The project is financed by the regions of Ile-de-France (where Paris is located), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Loire-Land and a number of French cities.

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and the French Senators Xavier Bertrand, Bruno Retaillot, Jeanne Barseghian, Patrick Karam and Michel Rubirola have also decided to physically accompany this convoy, which will reach the Lachine corridor at noon on 30 August. There, it will join other "PR-furs" with "humanitarian aid" on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Despite the fact that Azerbaijan has long offered to send this humanitarian aid to Khankendi by another route - via Aghdam - without any problems.

On the eve of this action, which is clearly coordinated by the highest French authorities in order to have an "information resonance", a tailor-made pro-Armenian and anti-Azerbaijani article appeared in the influential American newspaper "The Washington Post" under the very eloquent headline "Azerbaijan must open the Lachin Corridor - and prevent another war". The article contains the same myth of "120,000 Karabakh Armenians" repeated by Armenian nationalists, although there are no more than 30,000 Armenians left in the region, and completely "forgets" about over 1 million Azerbaijani refugees from Karabakh, most of whom are still unable to return to their homes due to the total mining of the territory by Armenian occupiers and "Artsakh" separatists. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the US, Hazar Ibrahim, responded to this absurd anti-Azerbaijani article by the Washington Post:

"Our country, Azerbaijan, is regularly targeted. In the opinion of the newspaper (The Washington Post), whatever happens, we are wrong. We are wrong that Armenia massacred us in the early 90s (the former president of Armenia bragged about it). We are wrong that our internationally recognised lands were occupied by Armenian troops and wiped off the face of the earth. We are responsible for the ethnic cleansing of up to a million refugees and displaced persons over the past 30 years. We are to blame for the daily casualties caused by mines planted and manufactured by Armenia in our territories. Apparently our 'fault' is that we are a secular Muslim country on the rise. This does not fit the agenda and narrative of the Washington Post, its political allies and religious radicals. These allies, of course, are also driven by domestic political considerations. For them, lobbying support and funds are a guarantee of their election. It is no wonder that news of corruption and abuse of power, indictments and congressional judgments against them are regularly reported. Who suffers most from this stark picture? Certainly the US and its international posture. Despite the honest, proactive and professional efforts of the US government, it is undermined by the distorted and biased mainstream media and its outdated friends," said Hazar Ibrahim.

At the same time, given the upcoming "French PR" with the participation of the mayor of Paris in the Lachin corridor, it can be assumed that the placement of the commissioned article in the Washington Post was not only the result of the action of certain lobbyists in the United States, but was also coordinated with France. Despite its NATO alliance with the US in the settlement of the South Caucasus region, France, unlike the US, is playing an increasingly destructive role in trying to prevent the establishment of peace. It has also recently become known that France, as a member of the UN Security Council, will again raise the issue of Artsakh on this platform.

The events of the next few days will show how successful the new PR on the alleged "threat of genocide of Karabakh Armenians" will be and what the international reaction to it will be. So far, however, no particular "international concern" about the "fate of Artsakh Armenians" is visible, despite the commissioned information material.

Much will depend on whether we see Mrs Ann Hidalgo in Yerevan and on the Lachin road on 30 August 2023. If she has "urgent business in Paris" on that day, and the "humanitarian aid" to the Karabakh Armenians is accompanied by lower-ranking politicians, it will be a sure sign that the new wave of Armenian "genocide" PR will fail before it has even begun.
