Ana Dolidze: The government is trying to cut off our connection with the West

15.04.24 13:30

The government is trying to cut off our connection with the West. It seems that the instruction came from Russia for the second time, Ana Dolidze, the leader of the People's party, said about this.

According to her, "Georgian Dream" is fighting against the age-old spirit.

"Introducing this law from the beginning is a waste of water and time. Instead of our government thinking about what reforms to implement in order to create wealth in the country and enrich people, we are going in the same circle for the second year. The government is trying to cut off our connection with the West. It seems that a second instruction came from Russia that "Georgian Dream" should say that it is Russian and pass this law. Today is the first day of the beginning of resistance. I think it will be finished in October.

The protest will definitely produce results. "Georgian Dream" is fighting against the age-old spirit. The Russians could not do this with tanks and shovels. I am sorry that Georgian people are wasting their time on this. This charge, as it was on April 9 and March 31, continues as usual. This is a spirit that has been formed for centuries", said Ana Dolidze.

For information, representatives of civil organizations and media are holding an action at the back entrance of the Parliament of Georgia. Those present at the rally are protesting the draft law "On the transparency of foreign influence", which is being considered by the Legal Affairs Committee in the first reading.
