03.03.21 17:20

The opposition decided at today's meeting to temporarily postpone the planned protests until the negotiations between the government and the opposition are not over, - Paata Manjgaladze, one of the members of Strategy Builder, said after the meeting between the opposition leaders.

He said the opposition did not want the rallies to serve as a pretext for disrupting the talks.

"In order not to give the government additional grounds and reasons to refuse or disrupt the talks, the opposition has decided to temporarily postpone the planned rallies until the end of the negotiation process, which is set for March 16. We know that the National Movement has a specific situation, because its chairman was arrested and they can hold rallies on condition that they do not come into contact with the administrative building and the police. Tomorrow's rally will be held, but the subsequent rallies will be postponed. We are waiting for the results of the negotiations," said Paata Manjgaladze, a member of Strategy Builder.

The opposition had planned to hold a large-scale rally on March 13.
