According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, the close relationship between Georgia and Azerbaijan is very multifaceted and intensively implemented.

As he noted at the joint briefing held after the meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Ilia Darchiashvili, the main topic of conversation at today's meeting was various aspects of strategic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

"Today we talked about various aspects of strategic cooperation. We discussed both the results achieved so far and the current state of our relations. A high-level relationship is very important for intensive collaboration and conversation. We noted that close relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are very multifaceted and intensively implemented. In October 2023, the President of Azerbaijan paid a visit to Georgia, and in March of this year, the Prime Minister of Georgia paid a visit to Azerbaijan. There is always a close relationship between the governments," said Jeyhun Bayramov.

According to the head of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, official Baku uses all opportunities at the international level to discuss active issues.

"Our agenda was to conduct a political dialogue. Also, at the level of close relations on the international platform, for example, the United Nations, the OSCE, the European Union. Also, I talked about plans to be implemented in other agencies. Azerbaijan and Georgia always support each other's initiatives, this is fundamentally important. Within the framework of international legal norms, Azerbaijan and Georgia respect each other's territorial integrity. In addition to bilateral and multilateral platforms, we also have a very useful tripartite platform. I would especially like to mention the format of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey", said Jeyhun Bayramov.
